I get told a lot that the Holy Catholic Church of God discriminates against gay people because it doesn't let them marry in the Church. How do I respond to this?

I believe that the death penalty is just as evil as abortion.  I try to be 100 percent Catholic and pro-life to the max.  My question is if someone is not put to death, then people say they have to “pay for them” (to be housed in prison). What should I say and do?
