Diocesan groups to send buses to D.C for the March for Life Print E-mail

A number of organizations in the six-county diocesan area are organizing buses to the March for Life in Washington, on Friday, Jan. 19

Right to Life of Stark County is sponsoring a “red-eye” trip, leaving late Jan. 18,  driving all night to Washington, and expecting to return Jan. 19 around midnight . Cost: $45.00 per person. For more information or to register contact Mary Kring at 330-833-9851.

St. Ambrose Parish, Garrettsville, is partnering with other parishes to sponsor a bus. This is a “red-eye” trip, leaving late Jan. 18, driving all night to Washington, and expecting to be back Jan. 19 around midnight.  Cost: $55.00 per person. St. Michael the Archangel Parish, Canton, and Queen of Heaven Parish, Green, Ohio are partnering with neighboring parishes to sponsor two buses for an overnight trip. They will leave early in the morning Jan. 18, going to the  Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception for the Vigil for Life Mass.

Participants will stay overnight at a motel, attend the Youth Rally and Mass for Life on the morning of Jan. 19 before participating in the March for Life.

The annual March for Life this year will mars the 45th anniversary of the Jan. 22, 1973 U.S. Supreme Court rulings, Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton, that effectively mandated legal abortion in all 50 states.
