NORTH CANTON – Brother of Christian Instruction Francis Blouin, former president of Walsh University here, died Jan. 21 at the age of 87 after a long battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

BOARDMAN – Finding yourself gives your life meaning, Bishop George V. Murry, S.J., told a recent adu

“One of the great themes in literature is the search for the true self,” Bishop Murry told about a dozen young adults gathered at the Magic Tree Pub and Eatery for the monthly meeting of Theology on Tap. Finding one’s true self leads to “peace of mind and peace of heart,” the bishop said.

Mass for Deaf enriches experience for members of deaf community Print E-mail

CORTLAND – What most Catholics take for granted – hearing the priest proclaim the Gospel at Mass or enjoying the choir singing hymns – is not a reality for everyone. 
Some parishioners are deaf and cannot hear these integral parts of the Mass – impeding their ability to experience the fullness of the liturgy.
