Catholic schools across the diocese, along with other schools nationwide, will celebrate Catholic Schools Week Jan. 25-31. The annual event includes activities and observances promoting Catholic education.

The White Mass, for those in the healthcare profession, is celebrated by Bishop George V. Murry, S.J., in St. Columba Cathedral. – The annual diocesan Liturgy Day with Msgr. Richard Hilgartner is held at Champion St. William Parish. – World Day for Consecrated Life is celebrated with Mass with Bishop Murry in the cathedral. – Niles St. Stephen School, opened in 1868, will close at the end of the school year due to decreased enrollment.
